Wood turned
with intention

Each bowl and vessel begins as a living piece of wood — shaped on the lathe, finished by hand, and made to be used and admired for generations.

About Dan

Every bowl tells a
story of the tree

I'm Dan, a woodturner with a deep respect for the material I work with. Each piece starts with selecting the right blank — reading the grain, the figure, the character that's already there.

My bowls and vessels are made to live in your home, not behind glass. Turned on the lathe, hand-sanded through fine grits, and finished with food-safe oils, they're meant to be touched, filled, and used every day.

How It's Made

From log to heirloom

I

Select the Wood

Every piece starts with choosing a blank that has something to say — interesting grain, figure, or a story in its rings.

II

Turn on the Lathe

The blank is mounted and shaped at speed. This is where the form emerges — walls thinned, curves refined, the profile set.

III

Hand Sand & Refine

Sanded through progressive grits by hand, bringing out the wood's natural lustre and ensuring the surface is perfectly smooth.

IV

Oil & Finish

Finished with food-safe oils that penetrate the grain, protecting the wood while letting its natural beauty speak for itself.
